Coming from an athletic background, Katie is driven to find a potent balance between health and performance. She began her training with Chris Robinson at S6 Fitness in 2010, and then completed her 700 hour apprenticeship under Brooke Siler and Cary Regan at re:AB Pilates in 2013. Katie's passion, ambition, and everyday discipline to her training and education have helped her cultivate an understanding of what it means to have strength with flexibility and control. She combines her science-based education and intuition to transform the way her client's move, look, and perform.
Katie holds an MA in Exercise Physiology from Columbia University and a BS in Physiology & Neuroscience from the University of California, San Diego. She also holds a certificate in the Complete Pilates Method Continuing Professional Education with Chris Robinson as well as a certificate in the Pilates Pilates Professional Advanced Teacher Training (PPATT) with KRN NY Pilates. She continues weekly lessons under the close mentorship of Kathi Ross-Nash and is currently enrolled in the studio's PPATT Teachers of Teachers program.
She was a top five finalist in the 2014 Women’s Health Magazine Next Fitness Star competition and is regular contributor to both Women's Health Magazine and BuzzFeed News. She can be found as a model in Kathi Ross-Nash's Pilatesology tutorials and in The Red Thread: The Arm Chair/Baby Chair, The Red Thread: High/Electric Chair, and Brooke Siler's Women's Health Big Book of Pilates.
